We still have a few food boxes left. Come on down and get your Farm to Family Food box. In the box is milk, chicken, cheese, meatballs, butter, apples, oranges, yogurt, sour cream and carrots. Yum!
Farm to Family Food Boxes happening now. Come get your food box from 10:30 to 2:30 today March 3 at the High School parking lot. Supplies are limited and you must have a student in the district.
This communication is to let our community know that the Oakridge Fire Department was called to our building on Rose St. this morning. All is well, and thankfully there were no issues with the structure. We are thankful to the OFD for their support!

If you are not on site for learning and are ages 1-18, the drive meal delivery is open now. Come down to the High School between 11:15 and 12:15 to pick up your meals for Monday and Tuesday. Please remain in your vehicle.
The Learning Calendar for the week of March 1-5 is attached. Welcome back to in person learning grades 7 and 8!
Jr. High Football practice will be 4:30 to 5:30 today, Thursday the 25th.
Today is the last day for bus route meal delivery. Starting Monday, March 1st, your child will receive a meal at school. Is your child not attending in-person? No problem, come to the High School parking lot every Monday and Wednesday between 11:15am-12:15pm for a drive thru meal pick up.
Monday will serve a breakfast and lunch.
Wednesday will serve 3 day's worth of meals.
All children in our community between the ages of 1-18 can receive the meals through the drive thru. The drive thru option is only for children not receiving a meal at school.
Meal service bus routes will no longer be running as of March 1st. A meal pick up option will be available to children ages 1-18 that are not participating in any type of on-site instruction. Please see the link below for more information and to fill out a survey regarding your child's needs.

The remodel of the multipurpose room/locker rooms at Oakridge High School are nearing completion. The space will house many activities, including emergency shelter for our community. Carrie Gamez lead the cleaning and polishing of the polished concrete floor with the assistants of the Theresa Kephart and Vanessa Osborn. We are looking forward to the day we can hold an open house for this new space.

OSAC and Ford Foundation are both due next week. They are two of the largest Scholarship opportunities for Oregon students. These applications are posted in the Google Classroom Senior information page. Many other scholarships both local and state wide are posted in the Senior information page. Also, Seniors, check your emails for information sent about scholarships.

We've had to make some changes to our return to school plan at OJSH.
In a Nutshell:
March 1 - 7th and 8th Grade Return
March 8 - 9th and 10th Grade Return
March 15 - 11th and 12th Grade Return
Cohort A comes in the morning for 2 hours
Cohort B comes in the afternoon for 2 hours

What is Site Council?
"site council shall be responsible for the development of plans to
improve the professional growth of the school staff, the improvement of the school’s instructional program, the development and coordination of plans for the implementation of programs at the school site and the administration of grants-in-aid for the professional development of teachers and classified employees as provided for in Oregon Revised Statutes and Oregon Administrative Rules."
